On the Issues

Student Wellbeing
Ty believes every student should be ready to succeed after graduation, whether that means pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or serving in the armed forces. He will work to strengthen bullying prevention, expand access to mental health resources, and make sure every child has enough to eat.

Helping Teachers
Teachers and staff in WJCC Schools have been underpaid and stretched thin for too long. Ty wants to give our teachers the right to negotiate for their pay and benefits, allow teachers to teach a fact-based curriculum free from political influence, and provide more classroom help to free up time for planning and focused instruction.

School Resources
In order for all of our children to succeed, our schools must have adequate resources available to them. In addition to hiring more support staff, we also need to ensure that our academic and athletic facilities are suitable to support the ever-changing needs of our diverse student population.
